How dental hygiene works

Dental hygiene is regular professional care of the teeth and gums. Here is an overview of what usually happens during the visit.

At the start

First we look into your mouth and tell you how the visit will go.

Tartar cannot be removed at home, so we remove it in the clinic with special instruments.

Air flow sandblasting removes pigmentation from the tooth surface, for example after coffee or tea. It uses a fine powder, water and air.

At the end the teeth are polished. Fluoride treatment, which we also do, helps protect the tooth enamel.

The visit also includes oral hygiene instruction: we show you how to clean your teeth and the spaces between them properly.

Comprehensive dental hygiene with us takes 60 minutes and costs 60 €. Dental hygiene for children under 10 costs 40 €.
